Telve di sopra Vineyard 2021 Estate Marquette

Marquette is a modern red wine grape hybrid introduced in 2006 as an early ripening, disease and cold resistant option for cool climates; and this one comes from Washington's Puget Sound on the Northern end of the Kitsap Peninsula. It's medium-plus purple in body and color with aromas of ripe black fruit that mix with notes of cedar, baking spice and hints of dried herbs. On the palate, it delivers fruit forward notes that show a nice balance of acidity alluding to rich black cherry that are met with lively peppery notes and baking spice, finishing with a lightly textured earthiness hinting at clay dust.
