Spoiled Dog Winery 2018 Carmenere

This nicely structured Carmenere from Whidbey Island's Spoiled Dog Winery uses fruit from Yakima's Sugarloaf Vineyard. It finds a nice balance between lighter and richer styles of Carmenere with signature spicy tones that are nicely integrated. Flavors allude to black plum and dried cherry that are balanced by notes of chocolate, green pepper and a finish that reveals hints of earthy graphite. Enticing aromas draw you in with notes of rich berry jam mixed with black pepper, Allspice and sweet tobacco.
