Sigillo Cellars 2017 Confluence
Published: January 8, 2021
This is a Merlot dominant Bordeaux style blend with 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot for a medium-plus bodied wine. It presents enticing aromas of fruitcake with lively notes of anise, black peppercorn vanilla and pipe tobacco. On the palate, red fruit sings with flavors of raspberry and cherry compote with nicely structured acidity alluding to plum skin and textured tannins with notes of cocoa and a graphite earthiness.
