Robin Ridge Winery 2015 Frigate Meritage

This Bordeaux style red blend from British Columbia includes 48% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot. Bold aromas include prominent notes of pipe tobacco and cedar, Hoisin, dark chocolate, Allspice and green peppercorn. On the palate, a velvety mouthfeel delivers fruit forward flavors of dark berries that show a nice balance of acidity, followed by earthy notes of ground espresso, finishing with hints of graphite.
