This Umpqua Valley Gruner Veltliner is labeled Hefeabzug indicating âsur lieâ aging on spent yeast sediment. On the nose it exhibits enticing herbal and mineral qualities with aromas alluding to fresh green snap peas that mix with notes of pear and hints of sweet florals, crushed gravel and white pepper. On the palate, it is crisp and dry with lime and green apple notes and a mid-palate of lime and minerals lingering before a finish showing a hint of saline.
