Rallison Cellars 2014 Pinot Noir Laree Vineyard

Rallison Cellars 2014 Pinot Noir Laree Vineyard

This is a classic example of Oregon Pinot Noir showcasing tart red berries on a structured frame with plenty of earthy notes. On the nose, red berries mix with earthy and herbal notes of tobacco leaf, potting soil and dried herbs, floral notes of rose and a touch of Allspice. Flavors of cranberry and pomegranate are upfront on the palate with a hint of cola and cocoa, then earthy notes of violet, mushroom and dried leaves balancing a finessed finish showing tart cherry. This wine would be a nice pairing with roasted poultry, pork or duck breast. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
