Pebblestone Cellars 2016 Melange

This red Bordeaux style blend from Southern Oregon includes 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and small portions of Malbec and Petit Verdot. Flavors allude to black cherry that are met by emerging notes of dark chocolate, cola and bell pepper with lightly textured hints of cocoa carried on persistent acidity through a lengthy finish. On the nose, oak influences deliver aromas of cedar, Allspice and pipe tobacco that mix with herbal notes of bell pepper and menthol with hints of blackberry pie.
