Neher Family Wines 2019 Syrah
Published: July 23, 2022
The 2019 vintage was the first commercial production of wines by this small family-owned winery with the pedigree of two legendary winemakers; Gordy Venneri, founder of Walla Walla Vintners and Roger Cockerline of Bunchgrass Winery. This Syrah is rich and spicy on the palate with flavors of fresh dark berries and black plum, plenty of peppery spicy and firm tannins that carry notes alluding to espresso-laced dark chocolate before finishing with hints of graphite. On the nose, it presents pleasing aromas of jammy black fruit, green peppercorn, cigar box and a hint of smoke cured meat.
