Mustard Seed Cellars 2014 Nebbiolo

Mustard Seed Cellars in Oregon's Umpqua Valley sources Nebbiolo grapes from The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater for this nice example of the Italian varietal. It offers an inviting nose of red fruit mixed with bold notes of spice cake and hints of potpourri, cedar and anise. On the palate, flavors allude to a spiced cherry sauce with a prominent dose of clove and cola, bright notes of hibiscus tea and a dry finish hinting at clay pot with lingering spice. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
