MonteScarlatto Estate 2013 Barbera

Full-bodied and deep purple, this Barbera from Red Mountain presents balanced flavors and a solid acidic structure that would make this perfect to enjoy with tomato sauce dishes, pizza or beef. On the nose, it presents aromas of ripe plum, prune and cigar box. On the palate, flavors of tart brambly blackberry and dried cherry are predominant, but are neatly balanced with earthy dark cocoa, pepper and herbal notes for a dry finish.
