Longship Cellars 2017 Ginger Man Syrah

Straddling fruit forward and savory styles, this Syrah from Horse Heaven Hills includes 5% Grenache. It's a deep ruby in color with assertive aromas of black fruit, eucalyptus, peppery spice and sweet tobacco that meet savory hints of cured meat. On the palate, the black fruit alludes to a sauce of dark berries with chocolate and clove that are balanced nicely by earthy notes of espresso, graphite and a lingering acidity.
