Kitzke Cellars 2015 Sangiovese

This is a modern-style, fruit-forward Sangiovese from Richland, Washington's Kitzke Cellars. On the nose, aromas of ripe red cherries mix with notes of Sandalwood, sweet tobacco and Allspice. On the palate, flavors of raspberries and cherry are rounded out by notes of baking spices before a finish hinting at a clay pot minerality. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
