D'Anu 2016 Tempranillo
Published: August 31, 2021
Most of Oregon's Tempranillo comes from Southern Oregon, but this one features fruit from the cooler Willamette Valley. It's beautifully complex on the nose with notes of smoke, baking spice, cedar, sweet tobacco, black pepper and a hint of bay leaf that all mix with the aromas of dark dried fruit. On the palate, it shows a nice balance of acidity on fruit alluding to plum that is met by rich notes of chocolate and a dusty minerality and spice, finishing bright with hints of tart plum skin.
