Clearwater Canyon Cellars 2019 The Wine Project
Published: July 23, 2022
This wine is a blend of 47% Petite Sirah, 38% Petit Verdot and smaller proportions of Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, it presents bold aromas of a spiced berry sauce with notes of pipe tobacco, cedar, black pepper and herbal-floral hints of lavender and menthol. On the palate, it's grippy with both acidity and tannins, presenting upfront flavors of dark berries and black cherry that linger before an extensive finish hinting at a finely textured dusting of cocoa and espresso.
