Chemeketa Cellars 2018 Mourvedre

Chemeketa Cellars 2018 Mourvedre

This Mourvedre was made by the Wine Studies Program at Chemeketa Community College and their wines often claim top awards in blind competitions. This one is a bright and earthy style Mourvedre with notes of Boysenberry and plum skin with hints of cocoa emerging on the mid-palate, joined by tobacco and espresso with earthy notes and acidity finding a nice balance on an extended finish. On the nose, it presents nice aromas of blackberry jam and smoky embers with hints of sweet tobacco, black peppercorn and dried herbs.
