Brian Carter Cellars 2016 Corrida Gran Reserva
Published: October 15, 2021
This Spanish Rioja inspired red wine blend consists of 66% Tempranillo, 21% Graciano, 8% Garnacha and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and is made in Gran Reserva style with 22 months in the barrel. On the nose, it's very expressive with notes of floral and spicy black peppercorn, lightly smoked cedar and tobacco wrapping around dried fruit with hints of dried herbs and fresh dill. On the palate, dried cherry, cocoa, baking spice and clay dust find a delightful balance with persistent spice and acidity lingering on an extensive finish.
