Babick Cellars 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington's Royal Slope is more barrel than fruit forward, creating a dark mystery. On the nose, it's angular with dark fruit wrapped around bold notes that allude to tar, bell pepper, powdered chili pepper, new leather, tree pitch and a hint of pipe tobacco. On the palate, it opens much rounder and luscious with juicy flavors of dark berries that are quickly met by a rich and earthy mid-palate and notes of black tea and graphite carrying to the finish.
