Tertulia Cellars 2017 The Great SchisM Reserve Riviere Galets Estate Vineyard

Inspired by French Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this red wine blend includes 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 7% Mourvedre and small portions of Cinsault and Counoise. It shows a medium body that is a brightly colored and presents aromas that are intriguing and complex. There are savory and smoky notes that allude to bacon fat and cured meat, dried herbs and floral lavender that wrap around a core of red berry jam. On the palate, it's a wake-up punch of tart red huckleberries that are balanced by peppery spice and notes of dried herbs and cherries before a long finish that lingers with lively baking spices.
