Larch Hills Winery 2015 Ortega
Published: October 29, 2018
British Columbia wineries are crafting some fine white wines from modern, cross-bred varietals ideal for cooler climates and this Ortega is an example, a cross between Muller-Thurgau and Siegerrebe. This one expresses sweet floral aromas of orange blossom on the nose, mixed with stone fruit, Mandarin orange and a hint of fresh ginger. On the palate, it offers beautifully structured acidity alluding to lime and melon rind with earthy-floral notes of daffodil and a hint of piquant watercress. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
