Lagana Cellars 2016 Cockburn Ranch Chardonnay

This is an un-oaked, Chablis style Chardonnay with fruity aromatics and a bright structure on the palate. On the nose, aromas of yellow apple and honeydew melon meet secondary notes alluding to citrus blossom, pineapple, fresh tarragon and lemon curd. Flavors of Meyer lemon and lime zest are intense up front on the palate, linger, then trail off to reveal subtle mineral notes and a touch of saline on a clean finish. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
