Kramer Vineyards 2013 Carmine Big Red

Kramer Vineyards 2013 Carmine Big Red

On the nose, this wine reveals blackberry jam, dried cherry, clove spice and cigar box while on the palate, this lesser known varietal, a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignane, shows fruit in balance with bright flavors and earthy notes. It features prominent bright red fruit of cranberry and pomegranate held in check with pronounced tannins and notes of tea and a gravelly minerality on the finish. This wine offers enough brightness to pair with a burger, ribeye or tomato sauces.
