House of Rose Winery 2016 Cool Splash Pinot Gris

This slightly off-dry Pinot Gris offers a wonderfully complex nose revealing floral aromas of orange blossom that mix with yellow apple, clove spice and hints of banana cream pie and almond paste. On the palate, it's bright with flavors of Meyer lemon, citrus zest, kiwi and tart nectarine with a touch of quinine. The wine features a small amount of Verdelet, a seldom seen varietal developed to withstand harsh, cold conditions.
