Eleven Winery 2013 Syrah

Dark, rich and complex, this Syrah presents plenty of fruit, but reels itself in with earthy and savory notes that lend this wine finesse within its boldness. On the nose, it's reminiscent of blackberry pie with sweet tobacco and notes of roasted coffee, vanilla and savory dried herbs. Fruit forward flavors of plum and blueberry are balanced with pencil lead, cola and baking spice. Pair this big beauty with steak, smoked meats or spiced duck breast.
