Double Canyon 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon

This medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon Sauvignon was blended with a small amount of Syrah and Malbec, then barrel aged for 18 months with 40% new French oak. The wine shows good restraint with a nose of saddle leather, dried herbs and ripe dark fruit. On the palate, flavors of red plum and black cherry tea predominate with a streak of minerality and integrated tannins through a long finish.
