Stave & Stone Winery 2017 Quiver Red Wine

Quiver is a red wine blend including 33% Zinfandel, 33% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Syrah and from Stave & Stone Winery in Hood River, Oregon. It's rich and complex on the nose and palate. It offers aromas of ripe black plum, fig jam, leather, sweet tobacco, a dash of Allspice and a hint of dried tarragon. On the palate, rich flavors of blueberry take the lead, surrounded by notes of clove spice, a little smoke and a nice balance of earthy texture that straddles cocoa, coffee and graphite that emerges on a dry finish. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
